Quick start

Warning: the Look and feel is specific to each platform and may be different on your platform.

The possible application languages are English and French (Error messages are nor yet translated to french).

After a double click on the StartSysDB. Bat file (on PC) or SysDB (on Macintosh), the program show first a Splash Screen with License information and then the application main window :



In Macintosh configuration, the menu is on top of the screen.

Click on the "open Schema..." button and search a XML Schema file (.xsd suffix). One Example is in the test directory.

You have then the structure of the schema in the left column in the window:

The navigation in the file is possible, but editing the file is not yet implemented.

Next step, create a database by clicking on the "SelectBD..." button. The program ask first for a server access:



In the server field enter the IP address of the server or localhost if the database server is local to your computer.
In the User ID field enter the user name attributed by the database administrator.
Enter the password in the Password file and press "OK".
