XML Schema

XML Schema is a brand new standard and I do not have tested my application on every possible configuration. If you have errors on your XMS Schema file, send us examples of XML Files at contacts@sysalys.com and we will do our possible to implement your features.

We now manage some interesting features:
- recursive element definition (one element X contains another element X),
- targetNamespace tag for multiple XML Schema management (element from different targetNamespaces are stored separately in database.

Encodings

The XML Schema should be in plain English text since the XML parser that we use does not accept Element tags with other encoding in data file.

But for Data, in the Beta 0.1 version, the default encoding is ISO-8859-1. In next versions, all encodings managed by Java will be possible (data are in binary format in the Database).

What's New

in version beta 0.3:

  • improve Preferences Manager.
  • improve Macintosh integration.
  • update drivers for mysql and xml parsing.
  • bugs corrections.

in version beta 0.2.1:
  • Improvement: down action is no more allowed when the current element has no children (in search by navigation window)
  • bug correction: disallow fragment extraction and improve display for property table.
  • bug correction: bad fragment extraction for a single element.
  • bug correction: error when no element is found in serach window

in version beta 0.2:

  • Manage arbitrary encodings in XML data Files (XML Schema files shall use UTF-8)
  • New navigation and search tool in the database.

  • Manage ID and path tags in Schema files.
  • Addition of a XML schema editor, in order to correct or modify existing XML Schema.
  • Add interface with Oracle™ and other database.
